Ground support equipment is essential for rocketry.
You need a launch pad and launch controller to launch your rockets from. You also need wadding (or re-usable options) to protect your parachute each time.
We recommend the durable Klima launch pad and their launch controllers let you install two PP3 9v batteries at once for some extra launching juice! The Klima pad can take a 3mm or 6mm rod as well as a launch rail if required for larger rockets.

Bulk packs for schools and clubs
You can shop for bulk packs of rockets here. We list the packs of rockets on their own with bundles on the page so you can add everything you need in one click.
The bundles include motors, launch pad(s), launch controller(s), batteries and wadding. All you will need to run your club or rocket workshop will be the required tools and consumables for construction. Rocket manuals are on each page so you can check but in general with these starter kits you will likely need the following although not all of these are required by all kits.
Some wood glue (We like gorilla glue but all sorts of PVA should be OK).

Herstelwatten zijn nodig om te voorkomen dat uw parachute of streamer beschadigd raakt door verbranden of smelten in uw raket.
Wanneer uw motor of uitstootlading klaar is om uw parachute uit te werpen, creëren deze extreem hete gassen die uw herstelsysteem kunnen beschadigen. Watten is dus essentieel om deze warmte te absorberen in plaats van je parachute!
Er is niets erger dan een knapperig geroosterde parachute na je eerste lancering.
Wij bieden drie belangrijke opties voor watten.
1) Estes-wattenlakens
2) Natuurlijke watten van Klima
3) Herbruikbare Nomex-watten
De Estes-watten zijn wat de meeste mensen kennen en vertrouwen, het werkt betrouwbaar en je kunt voor elke lancering het juiste aantal vellen erin doen. Het is een geweldige optie voor alle raketlanceringen.
Klima heeft hun wattenpakketten ontwikkeld uit hennepvezel, wat milieuvriendelijk is.
Deze 100% biologisch afbreekbare watten beschermen net zo goed uw recuperatiesysteem en voldoen aan brandveiligheidsklasse B1.
Afhankelijk van de grootte van je raket zou je 40-50 raketlanceringen op kleinere raketten uit de big bag moeten kunnen halen.
Onze Nomex-watten zijn een hittebestendige stof die keer op keer kan worden gebruikt. Bevestig hem gewoon aan je schokkoord en wikkel hem om je parachute.
Alle drie de opties werken perfect en je kunt kiezen welke je wilt. Nomex is geweldig op grotere raketten die anders behoorlijk wat conventionele watten zouden gebruiken.
Ook de natuurlijke watten van Klimas zijn biologisch afbreekbaar, dus we raden u ten zeerste aan om deze ook te overwegen.
Je kunt ook wattenvrije opties installeren, zoals Piston's en baffles, om te voorkomen dat je überhaupt watten nodig hebt! We hebben al deze artikelen in onze winkel, dus kijk gerust eens rond.
