Motor mount tube is exactly as it sounds. It's tube that motors will fit perfectly inside, use it to create motor mounts with motor retainers and centering rings to mount your engines.

Motor retainers and motor hooks. Which you use is of course up to you! For smaller motors an engine hook is usually easy and fine, retainers are a little bit better but weigh more and use more space.

Your rocket is going to need a nose cone. We have standard plastic cones and softer foam nose cones too to help with a hard landing.

What is UKROC?
The UK Youth rocketry challenge is an exciting way to work with the next generation of engineers. The competition bring experience of building and succeeding in a complicated misson. It brings a lot of learning in maths and science to try and fulfill the required rocketry mission.

The UK winners get the chance to compete against teams from France the USA and Japan in the International finals as well.

About us
Rocketry Ltd is a dedicated model rocketry store. We list our actual stock levels so you can be sure that what you order will be coming to you straight away.

We're also VAT registered so your school or club may well be able to claim the tax back. And you can checkout on our website and pay by Invoice on NET-30 terms as a school, college or university. 

If you can't find what you're after then drop us a email and we may well have it, but if not we can probably source it for you.
The 2026 Mission
We suggest reading the full detailed PDF document linked here, however, in summary the requirements for your rocket this year are:
  • Maximum lift off weight 650g
  • Overall rocket length over 650mm
  • The body tube must be at least 47mm in diameter (BT-70)
  • The entire rocket must be the same diameter top to bottom.
  • Total rocket impulse up to 80 Ns
  • Rockets must be single stage
  • The flight time target is 36 - 39 seconds
  • The altitude target is 750ft (229m)
  • Must carry a raw hen's egg of 55-63 grams weight and that egg must survive the flight without cracking.
