Klima 18mm motors can be interchangeable with many Estes models too should you want to benefit from the added value of the 6-pack over 3-packs.
Klima motors also come with really easy to use electric igniters that have long leads, and seem to work incredibly reliably. You can fire these igniters / motors from Klima, Estes or probably almost any other launch controller too.
If you're looking for a more powerful motor the C6-5 or C6-7 Klima motors should be suitable.
All Klima motors are fully CE and ADR compliant so as long as you're over 18 you can buy these with no license required. (Subject to not storing more than 5Kg of total propellent weight, further information is available here). They must be sent with a courier option at checkout, and can't be sent in the Royal Mail.
Ideal for rocket cars, gliders or model rockets.
This motor is available for designs in
RockSim
OpenRocket &
SpaceCAD software.
Other things you might want while buying motors
You may want to grab some extra consumables or spares while you're shopping for motors. The Klima natural recovery wadding is a great choice as it's biodegradable and lasts ages. We also sell Procell intense batteries which can supply lots of current to fire your rockets with ease.
What do the numbers and letters mean?
You need to split them up to understand what your motor name means.

First: Impulse (Ns)
The first part (the letter) represents the total impulse of the motor. Every letter you go up doubles the total impulse.
For example a B motor is twice the impulse of an A motor. As this is exponential a F motor would be 32 times the power of an A motor.
B motors like this one have an impulse in the range of 2.5 to 5 Ns (Newton seconds).
Second: Average thrust (N)
The second number or numbers up to the hyphen are the average thrust of the motor in Newtons.
So this B4 motor provides an average thrust of 4 Newtons.
Third: Delay (seconds)
The final part after the hyphen is the delay before the ejection charge goes off. This is where the motor will let out some hot gas to push your parachute out of your rocket for example.
If this last section is a P this means the motor is Plugged and has no ejection charge.
If it's 0 like this motor, there is no delay and the ejection fires as soon as the motor has burnt.
Any other number is the time in seconds from when the motor finishes burning to when the ejection delay will go off.
If there is a T on the end of a motor this mean it's classed as a tiny motor and usually suggests it's 13mm diameter and is not relevant to the delay.

All items on our website shown as in stock, are in our warehouse ready to ship unless stated otherwise on the product page.
We aim to ship orders within 1 working day of ordering on your chosen shipping method.
We do not guarantee this however, especially at extremely busy times of the year. Therefore if you do require your order urgently, please drop us a email after you order to let us know.
Please note that you must use a courier option if your order contains rocket motors, you can not use the Royal Mail for orders with motors. The website should automatically disable the Royal Mail shipping option once these items are added to your cart. However in the case of a website mistake you will need to use the courier option.
Orders will ship on your chosen courier, all UK Mainland couriers we offer are a next day service. The couriers however do not offer us a guarantee on this, so we are unable to pass one along.
