The Raspberry Pi Pico is a tiny board based on the RP2040 chip. It has onboard 2.4GHz 802.11n Wifi connectivity and Bluetooth.
This is a great building block for all sorts of rocketry related items.
It's perfectly happy onboard as well as for ground support.

It measures just 51mm in length, 21mm wide and a mere 3.9mm deep. Even better it's only going to weigh you down by 4 grams.

The addition of wireless connectivity opens up the Pico W to a vast new range of projects such as remote sensor readings, remote control, mini web servers, wireless GPIO pin control and much, much more!
WiFi is enabled using a Infineon CYW43439 wireless chip. The CYW43439 supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN, and Bluetooth 5.2.

The Pico W is based on the RP2040 chip used in the original Pi Pico. It has two ARM Cortex-M0+ cores running at 133MHz.
It includes 256KB RAM, 30 GPIO pins and 2MB of onboard Flash memory for code and data storage.

The Pico W can be quickly and easily programmed using MicroPython and C/C++* using popular editors such as Thonny. There is plenty of information, guides and examples across the web to help you get cracking if needed.
